Thank you for your question and welcome to FriendsOfQuinn.com. D.A.M.P. or Deficits in Attention, Motor and Perception, refers to a combination of ADHD and Developmental Sensory Motor Activities.

It is a controversial diagnosis which has been used in Sweden but is not used much in the U.S.

When I had my son tested at Children's Specialized Hospital(in NJ) by the pediatric developmentalist, he mentioned this diagnosis that would so well apply to my son. But since it is not recognized in the US, my son was given the diagnosis of ADHD, inattentive type, and classified as "other health impaired" for school purposes. Aside from apraxia, my son (age 13) has tested negative for seizure disorder and other genetic tests including VCFS. But yet he still has learing difficulties, testing at a grade 3/4 for instruction and grade 2/3 for independent work.
