People at my school think that I am slow?
I am male and 16 with vcfs and people think that I am MR. I don't know why but they think that me being in special education I am extremely slow and need someone to look out for me. I am in high school but people think that I am like 5 and need protection.
For example: my cooking class thought I was going to cut my self with a knife and I was not going to do that but they tryied to lecture me on how to hold it. I wonder why they think I am so dumb.
People also think that I am going to need help on something that I already know how to do which is realy irritateing. I am also extremely gullible and people can take advantage of me easily. I wonder is there a way that I can prove them that I am not stupid?
Becuause I have people treat me like that I am and I am kind of annoyed by how they think that I am incappable of doing my own things.
I am sorry if you have waited a long time; I am also getting married in a couple of weeks so I have been very busy. Unfortunately you just have to not let them get to you or if you feel that you have established a good and secure relationship with one of them, then I would go ahead and tell them and explain to them what VCFS is. I would also tell them to visit FriendsOfQuinn. I hope this helps; good luck to you.
