Is there a way to get help to re-learn?
I was talking to my mom about it once in the car. I was wondering if there were schools or someone to help someone who didn't do well in school/ high schol but did graduate but wanted to learn what they didn't learn. Maybe there was a way I could? I don't know it might be a stupid idea but I thought I would ask.
I wanted to learn vocabulary words, because in school they taught it verbally and I needed it also visually. I want to learn more about vocabular words, more about science and more. My mom did bring home books from her elementary school class, and I have learned some stuff from that.
I too have CAPD. I had the same problems that you have - not learning much in school. I went through "school" again when my children went to school. In the last few years I earned a Masters degree in Library Science. I used a FM system to hear clearly. I have bought many of those "Dummy" books to learn things. The Internet is a great way to learn. There are many websites geared to every age group. You can type "Math tutorials" in the search engine, or "elementary math tutorials" in the search engine. Go for it! Sandra
