    Thanks for posting.

     

    I don't know if I would consider a relationship of 8 years a failure, certainly there were many things you did right since it lasted such a long time.Breaking up is always difficult and many people will get depressed, it is a normal part of the grieving process. Let yourself feel sad but continue to do things you enjoy.

     

    I think the best way to have a relationship long term is to be yourself. The right person will accept you, overdrive and all.
