I recently found out about this opportunity that may be helpful to someone and wanted to pass it on.
Andy Imparato is the CEO of the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), and a great man doing hard work for us and those we serve.
This organization offers summer internships with national disability leaders, AAPD, and others. They also have opportunities for persons who are pursuing careers in Information Technology (IT) working in the IT offices of various agencies in the executive branch of the government.
The internships provide paid round-trip airfare, accessible apartment-style housing, and a living stipend. An application can be downloaded at www.aapd.com/internships/html, internship@aapd.com, or by calling AAPD at 1-800-840-8844.
The deadline for this year has passed, but you can get started for the January 2010 applications!
