At some point in our lives, many of us have watched helplessly as someone we love, maybe the son or daughter of a close friend, a sister or a cousin struggles with schoolwork or shows signs of having a learning disability as the parents live in denial, not wanting to have their child "labeled" or just refusing to admit to any possible problems.
One member recently posted a question on our question and answer board, asking what would be the best way to approach her sister because she believes her nephew has some developmental delays.
My question this week: What would you do? How would you approach a friend or relative to suggest their child get an evaluation?
Thanks and I am very interested in your responses.
