I'VE SEEN I'VE HEARD

I've seen the swaying, just like the sea weed
swaying to and fro in the sea
The sounds of questions, like rain pounding
against the windows
Sounds of confusion and the why and what if
The never ending weather report, I've heard
over and over again, like the sound of a CD stuck,
that needs a bump to keep going
Sounds of music notes, sweet as honey
Echoes of laughter and tears when
something goes wrong
Trials of crumbs, like Hansel and Grete
leaving me a trail
Singing in the shower like a pro on stage
The singing of songs, so perfect but not
knowing exactly what they mean
Conversation to whom, I do not know
Practicing a show, never quitting
and the end is elation
All of this left today, as a small
hand waved, the tears filled my eyes
I went to her bedroom, and there on
my computer was an index card
that said:
Gram I love so mch
Thay you
Who causes these sounds
these questions, this laughter
and tears? RACHEL
