Really enjoying the book

I'm about halfway through, and am really enjoying the book. I've been reading a lot of biographys lately, and this for me is one of the best (probably the one I can most relate to).
I had some similar experiences in my life, and can relate to a lot of what the book is about ...

Friday, August 28, 2009 at 07:34 PMI just turned 55. The lady I lost my virginity seemed pretty nice. I remember her on the porch looking sad, as I drove away in a taxi. I think about her sometimes. Wish i could have helped her. I got gonnoreah from her (luckily not aids as was in Haiti right around the time aids showed up - 1974). She spoke really good english, said she'd learned it in a catholic school. She was pretty probably half european half african.
I also felt bad about it. I think the operation to try to get people to go with a prostitute plays on our vulnerabilities. The 10 year old boy who was showing me around the island implied that I didn't like girls, etc. That actor - Hugh Grant - he somehow got with a prostitute in New York and there was a big scandal about that, so they got to him somehow too.
Those people involved in prostitution are smart too, and I think can tell I did that with a prostitute once, and would never do it again, so they never have approached me since.
Nice to hear from you. I really enjoyed your book. My wife read it and enjoyed it too.
