Schools, Colleges and Resources for Students with Learning Disabilities

I have learned that it can be difficult to find schools with learning disability programs. This list is to help people, especially kids with learning disabilities, see that it is possible to make it through life and become succcessful. There are programs out there that can help.
LD Schools
Location: New York, New York
Mission: K-5th grade school committed to creating "an enriched educational environment for children through fifth grade who are not ready for mainstream education [to] help children achieve their full potential."
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Mission: A grade 1-12 school modeled after the Lab School of Washington. The school's mission is "to provide extraordinary educational opportunities to children with learning disabilities, utilizing research-based intervention strategies and a highly tailored, arts-based learning environment, that is college preparatory in scope and sequence."
Location:San Francisco, California
Mission: The mission of Bayhill High School is to educate students with language-based learning differences, focusing on their individual learning needs, with the goal of maximizing their inherent abilities and their potential to achieve success.
Location: Fairburn, GA
Mission: The Bedford School provides the appropriate intervention necessary for each learning-disabled child. The Bedford School will provide remediation and instruction in academic, social, and physical skills, supporting the families as they reinforce and enhance this growth. The Bedford School will provide opportunities for growth in the areas of responsibility, self-discipline and organization that will enable the learning-disabled student to become an independent learner and a contributing member of society.
Location: Atlanta, GA
Mission: With a focus on the individual, Brandon Hall provides small group and one-on-one college preparatory classes for students who desire a more intensive educational setting or who, for a variety of reasons, may not have been achieving their potential. Emphasizing multi-sensory instruction, applied study skills, organization, accountability, and the ordering of priorities, the school seeks to motivate each student to fulfill his/her potential.
Location: Lincoln, MA
Mission: The Carroll School is dedicated to meeting the educational needs of children diagnosed with language-based learning disabilities, such as dyslexia, and to supporting the constituencies that serve them. Carroll seeks a culturally, ethnically, and economically diverse population and is an active public champion for persons with learning disabilities.
Location: Belmont, CA
Mission: Charles Armstrong School serves high potential students with language-based learning differences, such as dyslexia, empowering them to thrive as learners in school and life.
