My parents are journalists who work for the Washington Post, and after they met at the Washington Post, they got married and had me on April 29, 1982. I was born under weight, and had not one but two holes in my heart. Believe it or not, the doctor actually used a piece of Velcro. My dad and his family are from Boston, Massachusetts and my mom and my her mom are from Savannah, Georgia. All of my grandparents have passed on; I never met my dad's parents because my grandfather was born April 20, 1892. He was in the United States Army during WW I but never went over seas, however my maternal great grandfather did, and my dad's mom was born in 1896 in Manhattan, New York.  I did meet my moms parents who I deeply loved with all my heart, we were very close with each other.  My mom's mom was born 1918 and was the best grandmother and cook in the world. My mom's dad was born in 1907, he fought in WWII and was a graduate of Westpoint, class of 33.  He first landed in North Africa where he was in Pattans Army. From there he went to Italy, from Italy to France and from France crossed the Bulgarian moutains to Germany. I have a picture of my grandfather look out at the mountains from Hitlers Nest; he is standing where ther was a giant window.

This website if for young adults who have been diagnosed with dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, VCFS and all other learning disabilities; it is a place where you can communicate with other young adults who have been diagnosed and tell and share your story with others. I have always wanted to help people in some way and I thought that this would be a great way of doing it. There will be a blog for the kids where they will be able to talk to celebrities who have been diagnosed with dyslexia and ADD/ADHD. The reason why I chose a blog instead of instant messaging for the celebrities is because they have such hectic schedules that they won't be able to respond back right away, this way they will be able to respond when the can. There will also be a place for the parents where they will be able to talk to other parents and to some of the other young adults. I figured that some of the younger teens might not want their parents on the same site as they are. There will also be doctors and therapists on the site for the kids and parents. I will want to collect lots of success stories. I will also be conducting video interviews of people who have LD and answering questions myself. People will also be able to comment on other peoples blog, ask questions about them and create their own blogs.
