Heart Monitor

While I was in Long Island the past few weeks, I have been having more of these black out episodes that I've written about previously.  What happens is that I am awoken from sleep with nausea, and I almost go into an epileptic state for about two seconds. I had about three of them in the last four weeks.  I even had blackouts two nights in a row.

I returned home on Monday, and yesterday morning had a little heart surgery.  My doctor implanted a heart recorder like device, and the surgery only took about thirty minutes. They did this so that my heart can be monitored all the time.  Hopefully, with this monitor, they will be able to figure out exactly why I'm having blackouts.

The surgery was minor, but I did get a little nauseated during the surgery so they gave me a little medicine to help me with that.  The heart monitor, which the doctors were watching when I was nauseated was fine apparently.  I have a heart condition called Wenckebach Syndrome.  The doctors think I may felt a little nausea because of that.  I also found out a lot of athletes have Wenckebach Syndrome, so that made me feel better. I got eight stitches from the surgery.  I'll keep you updated and let you know what the monitors tell us.
