About Me

I'm Katie, I'm 24 years old and I live at the Jersey Shore. I was diagnosed with VCFS when I was baby, had a open heart surgery at 8 months old, and then was documented with a non-verbal learning disability. I was on growth hormone for about 10 years; when I got to high school and started to doing sports I was growing on my own and stopped GH. All through school I've had accomodations and thanks to those and my IEP, I graduated high school, got my associate's degree in Early Childhood, and my bachelor's in psychology. Right now I am trying to get hired in school districts as a paraprofessional to help make a difference with the kids who have learning disabilities just like my teachers did with me. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be a college graduate. Right now I am working at Applebee's as a to-go server and sometimes host. I am also a substitute teacher. I also work at the beach selling badges in the summer down at the shore. Sometimes my jobs can be very stressful and busy, but it is definitely good for me because I adapt to those situations well. It keeps me focused. I love going out to the bars with my friends, heading to the beach in the summer. What can I say.. I live and breathe the real Jersey Shore lifestyle!
